I just got a new DAR. It was leaking and I determined it was from the bleed screw. Leaked no matter what I did. I then bled the air and put some sealer on the grub screw hoping to seal it. Now the air leaks out the barrel when I try to pump it. I tried it cocked and even dry fired numerous times. Joe at aim sport suggested that as maybe the poppet wasn’t seated. Nothing worked. I swear I read somewhere about bleeding the air to fast blowing out an oring? I really don’t want to send it to California. I need to get experience working on my own stuff so this is it. I have the air tube and reg out of it. The reg o rings look fine. I’m thinking it’s something in the valve if it leaks out the barrel?? Not sure how to get the valve out. I see a grub screw, a lug for the stock screw and another grub screw. I removed the first grub and there is a different screw underneath that doesn’t look to be an Allen. Not sure if I need to do something with that? The last small grub doesn’t seem to do much. Any help in proceeding would be greatly appreciated.

Hi i have had 3 in 25 cal and they all leaked???!!! joe is great to deal with but if you want to spend the time??! i had the small oring under the gauge blow out?? its a tiny phillips with oring around it. also had a grub screw with a hole in it. if leaks out the bbl its the poppet and seat the rod the poppet is on could be dragging i polished mine and it seemed to help?? good luck paper p

I got it fixed. I ended up having to pull the poppet stem back just a little bit which allowed it to seal. Hope this experience gets better. I’ve only been able to take about 15 shots with the gun and that accuracy was pretty lousy with fx 25.39. I didn’t clean the barrel so I will do that before next shooting session.

Discovered the screws that secure the barrel were loose as well. May have contributed to accuracy. I have cleaned the barrel and tightened up those screws. Just need to be able to shoot it to test accuracy. Only got to shoot over the chrono. I bumped the reg slightly up when I had it apart. Now it’s pushing the 25.39 in the 890’s. Perfect.
