DAR DAR GEN II failing to fire

Due to poor velocity I removed the air tube to slightly adjust the regulator and increase the hammer spring tension. Upon re assembly, it takes and holds air in the air the tube cylinder but fails to cock and fire. After cycling the side cocking lever it does not allow air to enter the receiver nor the gun will remain cocked and fire upon trigger pull. Any idea of possible problem source?
Thank you,

Having increased the hammer spring tension and then subsequently finding it will not cock...usually that's because the hammer spring is reaching coil bind before the hammer can pull back far enough for the sear to latch. Try backing off the tension and see if it will cock.
Thank you. It did not help. I did notice howewver that air is coming out through a very tiny hole in the air tube near the regulator. Could it be that the reg is out of place within the air tube? No air is reaching the transfer port in the receiver the lever bring back the valve but no air holds it in position and there is no hammer strike
