Daisy Powerline 853 - aka: Military version 1853

I bought this air gun from the CMP which the U.S. Government either gives or sells used military pellet guns to them. If i understand what i read correctly the civilian version is 853 Avanti. This gun is all metal - no plastic parts. When i bought it.....it was the only one of the ten or so that fit me right. The only thing i didn't like about it is that it had U.S. Govt stamped on the side. The body of the stock is bigger than the other guns that were there but cheek rest & butt is smaller. When i set it down at home i noticed it looked more like a mini M1 garand than a pellet gun. I started looking at it more closely and found the serial # AG 00000xx. I should say is less than 100.

My questions are: What's the year of manufacture ? And, is it worth more than the $100 i paid for it ? I can't find any information on the internet about it.
