Have had my 717 since I bought it new long ago (20 plus years?) have shot it little. Very little.
When I first got it I sent it off to a gentlemen who had a national reputation for doing trigger work on these Daisy's. No, I don't recall his name.
Pull is about 1 1/2 pound which may, or may not, relate to one of my 2 questions.
First, though I've spent a good part of the last 60 years shooting fire arms, reloading, collecting, competitive shooting, hunting, etc. my ignorance of air guns is vast.
Interested in locating a good source of information on routine maintenance.
Secondly, once I've cocked the gun and I work the side lever (Safety on, fingers away from trigger) it will quite regularly but not always, discharge. If a pellet has been seated it will clear the barrel, though at low velocity. Trigger issue? Something else? Fix?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob
