... Daisy M853 .177 on order from CMP

Never had one and they sound like a nice easy shooting backyard machine.

Is the Daisy 853 the youth version of the 753?

NO they just got different stocks. I like the 753 chunkier target stock better for a scope.

Pretty Hard to load the pellet and trigger (that you can DIY mod to greatly improve via Pilkingtons instructions) are the only complaints I have. The overall feel of the gun is Kinda cheap too IMHO but can't go wrong with their cheap CMP refurbished used gun price.

Want a new one Buy the Black 753S.

I liked my cheap refurb beater 853 rifles from CMP a lot so I bought the new 753S and it's nice and NEW and at least not all beat up.

You have the option to get a chunkier higher cheek 753 wood stock (likely a beater stock as well but at least you can bondo then paint it if it's that bad) instead for the refurb CMP 853 beater action for the same price with the gun if you ASK over the phone.

They are more accurate than an HW30s out to 25-30 yards. One ragged hole at 20 yards all day long without even trying hard due to its recoilless SSP and Lothar Walther barrel.

At 10 meters it can literally drill the exact same hole if you aren't a natural born terrible shot.

It can be used as a light/low powered pester out to 25 yards.

I remember you talking about the CMP gun a while back, part of the reason I looked and bought one.
