Daisy 25 1932 restoration

I have a model 25 it was made in 1950 and one that was made in the late 60s. I don’t know the exact date of the second one but do know it was made around that time. The 1950 has a leather seal. It’s still shoots, and shoots hard but is not that accurate. I have a brand new one also ,That is accurate but don’t have the power like the old ones do. My late 60s model unfortunately has the plastic stock and the painted on engraving, but it shoots the best out of all three. It’s got Decent accuracy and power. Too bad it doesn’t have the Wood Stock and real Engraving like the 1950 does. I even tried putting in the shot tubes out of the other two BB guns to see if it would shoot more accurate but still didn’t. I don’t know what’s up with that. But I agree that they are nice shooting BB guns and are also my favorite.

This is the third shot tube I've had for this gun. It shoots better than the original one did. But who knows how many bbs went through it. Bought two others modern tubes one shoots better. I've also found with the 99, 107, 25 or any other daisy with this type of barrel if you tighten it down and it's not shooting well. Slighty loosen it. Take a couple shots and see where it hits. Theres a bit of adjustment in the barrel this way.

Yeah, I did loosen the barrel some. I had to because if I tighten it all the way it will shoot real high and to the right. I think the threads at the bottom of the tube Aren’t concentric to the Tube. I think mine had a lot of shots put through it. One day I’ll take the tube out of my late 60s one and try to back it off a little bit and see what happens.

My first"gun"...took a long time to get my father to let me get one,I was passionate about it.

Sometimes I think that is why a righty like me shoots left handed,I needed to pump it with my right hand in order Not to take it off my shoulder.

There was a lot of open space and a nice lake that I could walk to;Remember the BBs used to come in a waxed red cylinder,I would shoot all of them in a day.

I lost some shot tubes in the lake because I got too excited and did not screw them in tight....um,guess that help out later on in my life!

I shot thousands of BBs in that rifle...I learned all the good stuff to know,"instinct shooting, the rate of drop, when to and when not to take the shot, etc".Oh what to shot and what not to shot.

I remember how hard it was to get my Dad to let me get that BB rifle....crazy ,the very next year on my birthday my father presented me with a Remington model 121 Fieldmaster .22 pump,I am holding it now....The Daisy Model 25,got shot a lot more at the lake, because it was Safer and quiet.....Haa, such great memories....
