Have several 1894’s , one from 1962. Usually cock the “ traditional” way- gun barrel pointed up, then put on shoulder.
Recently shooting, then cocking while still in shoulder position. Granted, not as easy as my 22lr Henry’s and Browning. Put leather wrap on lever, so it’s easier on knuckles. Putting another wrap on to cushion more.
Anymore familiar with shooting an 1894 Daisy like this. Or, using a lever that may be stiff- did you pad the lever or is there a glove you’d recommend.
