Dairy Farm Side Affects

At a dairy farm permission the farmers appreciates the help with the Collared Doves, Crows, and Starlings. I usually park the truck and set up right next to the dairy cow barn. It always smells strongly of urine and other things. After just being 20 feet away from the holding area for a 2 hour hunt I had to throw my clothes in the wash because people said that I stunk. How cheesy of them!!

I have cloth seats in my truck. Guess what? My truck now smells like the holding pens whenever I get in. I have it airing out now and even tried a little FeeBreeze. I can't very well throw the seat covers in the wash and I hope that acidic smell goes away. I'll now hunt with the windows up and just consider throwing my clothes in the wash as part of the hunt.

Got a crow and 5 doves stealing the farmers food for his cows. Those doves are smart. They fly to a roof 50 yds from where I am sitting so they can look in at me. If I move very slowly and put the gun on the tripod I usually ruin their day.

Jim81 Have you been checking your feet before getting in HaHa!. Go buy some Meguiars whole car (AIR RE-FRESHER)=ODOR ELIMINATOR MIST-sweet summer breeze scent. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS to a T. your problem solved !! Either at wall mart or auto center, that stuff will eliminate cig. smoke from a car so I think that you should be fine My buddy use's it in all the vehicles he sells & swears by it. If your out walking around, before getting back into the truck throw those hunting boots in the bed & throw on a clean pair, that dung & piss will impregnate into rubber floor mats good luck Darell maybe we should call you farmerJim81 hehehehe good luck with the hunting Jim

Hunted Sunday at the pig farm. Know what you mean, 98 degrees and that stink gets to ya and takes some of the fun away. Threw everything into the wash including me. Didn't like the spin cycle.

A member invited me to some of his dairy farm permissions in New Mexico and yes the sludge holding ponds make breathing tuff. I think we brought New Mexico flies all the way back to Texas. When the heat breaks I'm ready to go back though. 400 piegon in two days two men. What fun.

I know why it's called a murder of crows. Sometimes the sky is filled with those beasts swooping and screeching. More crow than sky! I love smokin' those bastards!
