Cz 700mm taipan barrel

I have the .22 700 mm cz barrel with a plenum extention on my Taipan veteran. It shoots the H&N .217 slugs very well

Good morning. I have the same set up as Seth0764, and mine shoots the NSA 17.5 .216 very well also at 970 fps. I did try several others before I settled on these. They shoot about 3" to either the right or left (can't remember) of my "Go To" JSB 18.13 pellet (860 fps) at 50 yd.

Edit for more info:
The NSA slugs don't seem to stay in the magazine as well as the pellets or H&N do. I have tried some other o rings and it has helped. They will not just fall out on the bench, but I have found if I put them in my pocket while walking or driving around pesting, sometimes they need pushed back in, or have completely fallen out. Might be the .216 size.

Best of luck!

Chris

The weather was finally nice enough to get "Sniper" out for some slug time. It was 51 degrees with 10 mph gusts of wind.

She's running the 700mm CZ barrel, dual power plenums, heavier hammer spring, and HUMA reg set somewhere around 130-140 bar. Currently, pushing the 24.8 grain NSA's at 965 fps. It's using exactly 3 bar/shot. That's +/-40 regulated shots per fill.

The preference for the .2165 24.8's was indicated dramatically at 50 meters. Three 3-shot groups and two 5-shot groups all came in under 3/4" and some under 1/2". Considering the wind and that I wasn't holding for it I'm stoked! That should be sub-MOA at 100 meters with the right conditions. The .217 and .2175 were much harder to chamber and the accuracy was poor. It's amazing what that .0005" difference can make.

Hmmm…starting to wonder what .216 would do…
