My 16 year old son and I hadn't been out shooting for a while, so Saturday morning we got out to the range early and grabbed a couple of the 50 yard benches.
We decided to have a go at some fun targets, a bell, a quad, a couple of spinners, but the real challenge of the day was going to be cutting cards. We set up a stand with 5 playing cards edge on and took along the camera to capture what we hoped would some successful shots.
My son was shooting a Discovery in .177 and right away, he started knicking cards, but just couldn't get that clean cut, until....
Perfect cut.
We both managed a couple more each before we tried our hand at lighting matches, despite hits that took the igniter portion of the match, we just couldn't get one to fire, but we had a great time trying.
Lots of fun and even better that we had the time together.
