I like traditional wood stocks so I decided to add some wood to my Impact.
The wood is "Buckthorn" which is very similar to Osage but more orange in color. Buckthorn is more of a large bush rather than a small tree that grows to about 25 feet tall and rarely more than 3" diameter; the wood has lots of character (swirling grain, pins, knots and checks) and it's very hard. It takes a beautiful polish and has a deep 3-dimensional glow that moves in the wood when viewed from different angles.
