I’m thinking about making a lighter stock for my hw100 Sporter carbine and was wondering if anybody knows if the front barrel/ tank band is necessary. I have made several stocks for high power rifles but pcp airguns have no recoil so not as much concern about cracked or broken stocks. I also wonder if 1 screw to hold the stock to the receiver is sufficient. I would welcome any suggestions or advice.
