Naming an object, and activity, an organization, or a place is cool —
it makes it somehow more "yours"....
So, enjoy.
Here are some ideas: ➊ Make the name short — so it you don't need to write so much when taking notes.
➋ Plan the name in such a way that future iterations of your slugs can easily be distinguished.
➌ An example of a possible name:
C .2175 BT .15HP Or simply abbreviate it
C01 — and keep a list (on paper and the cellphone) where each model C01, C02, C03, etc. is described in detail.
C = stands for the slug press, e.g., Corbin
.2175 = exact diameter in inches
BT = boat tail
.15HP = 0.15" deep hollow point
I also would add some data about the ogive angle, the ogive length, meplat diameter, and other specs that you probably know more about than I do — as I haven't plunged into that particular rabbit hole of swaging (last year I missed the hole by only inches).
Great webpage for more info on this last spec:

Have fun!
