Custom side wheels

Just got these side wheels for my Athlon scopes from Eric at Scope-werks. 80mm wheel on one Athlon Argos and custom 50mm wheels for another Argos and a Talos. I like the smaller wheels on certain guns as they don’t stick out much like a large wheel but gives that little bit extra torque or grip. Powder coated in black. Anyway, here’s some pics, I know you all like pics right?😃

Love the side wheels Joe. Had no idea that black powder coating would look so hot? Darn, making me wish I would have got mine powder coated black now! LOL

I have the 150 mm side wheel for FT. But it's made in two pieces. The center hub fits over the scope knob and the wheel is attached to the hub via the three hex head screws. It just makes it easier to take that huge wheel off for safe traveling and then put it easily back on in the exact same location. That way I know my range tape will not be off kilter when I put it back on.

Nice Fuss! I also have one that’s not powder coated for my FT rig, it’s an eccentric wheel for the Optisan Viper. Also two piece, but swings out of the way for transport.

I am fond of the Scope-Werks Snail. For travel, it is rotated so that the big elliptical end is down and out of the way.

I like the idea of using the offset, "comma" or "snail" shaped wheel especially on older FT scopes. But I'm wondering how well they would work for a left handed shooter reaching over the scope to adjust the SW. Any lefty FT shooters out there? Uj

You know, I used to think the big side wheels were goofy looking and didn’t want anything to do with them. Now I realize that they serve a purpose and I have big and small wheels on almost every gun I own.

I completely agree with that! I don't have any wheels YET, but I plan to have one on my Hatsan Flash when I get it. These wheels look nice, I'll have to check them out.
