Custom shroud replacement

Hello AGN,

I was on Amazon today and found carbon fiber tubing that comes in glossy or matt finish. It got me thinking of making a custom shroud for my liberty kind of like the one on my red wolf. A custom length shroud would also benefit the new air avenger which has some clearance issues too.The only problem I can see is how to finish the end so that I can still attach my 1/2 unf fitting for my quieting device. Is there anyway to thread carbon fiber or would it need to be glued somehow? Anybody try this yet?

If you can get some volume between barrel and shroud then there is no need for an additional moderator. A 28-30mm Dia shroud projecting 200mm pasted the barrel will out perform a mod of the same length, even if the mod is larger in Dia.
