Custom sheridan model C hold down safety

Hello all, I thought I would share this latest project that I customized for one of my customers.
he sent me the rifle which already had a neat engraving of a squirrel on the stock., But the stock was in pretty poor condition.
Here's what I did...
completely refinished the stock and cut down the forearm and provided an angle cut where it meets the buttstock just like a model A Supergrade. Added some flutting to front comb,

checkering on the pistol grip, added a nice trap door grip cap that holds 20 pellets, a pachmyr white lined recoil pad, and inletted for a HW trigger guard. Added an adjustable peep sight, and will be installing a custom aperture on it. The customer had the action steroided with an LDC installed.

It was a fun project.

Thanks for the kind words JohnL57.

It's fun turning these great, but relatively plain classic rifles, into something a little more special.
The stocks are actually one of the simplest AG restorations I do, mainly because they have pretty simple lines. Unlike a Thumbhole, or a Tyrolean. You can do all the base sanding with a palm sander.
You should give it a try, you'll be happy you did, and will love shooting it even more.
