I shoot with a monopod on a couple of my rifles when on a bench, someone asked me about something in a photo I posted on this site (under the monopod)...
My Accu-Shot monopod is outfitted with a steel butt cap, I wanted a "surface' that was consistent density and non-slip to use under it on a bench, I have a Protektor Model rear bag for standard type rifle stocks and I remember reading on the Protektor website that they do custom work, anyhow, I had an idea for a mousepad type thing without the pad... This is what I had the good Folks at Protektor Model fabricate for me... I call it my "MonoPad"...
It works very well, the steel cap on my monopod doesn't slip and the surface has very little give, it's made from one thick piece and one thin piece of leather glued and stitched together... Just thought I'd share the idea with everyone...
