Custom Marauder Finished...Maybe

Hey Everyone, a couple of months ago I began on the expensive and addicting path of creating my custom marauder. Back in December I got a .177 marauder and after a couple of weeks of shooting it, I wanted to convert it .25. For a while I flirted with the idea of doing it and decided at the time that I wasn't ready nor experienced enough to do the conversion.
Fast forward to February, I was hunting around the internet and came across hillairgun.com and saw his valve that he made and bought it. I had my .177 shooting 15.74 grain pellets at around 1050. Of course that wasn't enough so I looked into converting it to a .25 cal and decided to go ahead and do it. I felt that I was experienced enough. here is a list of what I put in my rifle.
  • Hill maximum performance valve
  • Hill higher flowing transfer port
  • 1/2" OD shroud mount
  • the 17lb hammer spring from Jefferson State Air Rifles
  • Baker Airguns Marauder Big Bore breech
  • ..25 barrel from alliance hobby
My intentions are for maximum power so my rifle is pushing 31 grain H and N Grizzly's at about 950fps. I get around 10 shots from 3000psi down to 2000psi. And please if anyone wants to fuel my addiction feel free to recommend any other parts. I also have a LE-032 scope mounted range finder on top of a Sniper 3-9x32 scope. I'm thinking of getting a screw on LDC because it's a little louder with the hill valve. and If my bank account is up for it I will top it off with a boyds stock. here are some pics of the rifle with the grouping at 50 yards. I'm open to any advice and feedback.

Very nice conversion and good solid parts installed. You may contact rocker 1 on the gta for a mds hammer that is a little heavier than the 44 grain mds although it’s good in my armada to about 68 ft lbs. The hill valve is .187 port ?? . It can be opened up as far as .250 depending on which one you have? The mds imho makes for a faster lock time and less wasted air, quieter and easier to cock. Also you may try the swagged 33 grain from Dale Riggert here on agnation. They are dead nuts accurate out of my green mountain barrel and carry their energy much further downrange. And those are nice groups.

I have a Boyd's stock on my Marauder and I love it. It was already on the gun (which is otherwise unmodified) when I purchased it, and it's probably my favorite part of the whole setup. Others have mentioned the need for a cheek riser, which you can order as an option...I think it adds $60.00 or $70.00 to the cost. Mine has it and it is very well done.

You can also specify the length of pull for better fit and select from different butt plates, which are also extra cost upgrades.
