Cure to the illness?

I have had my first PCP less than a week and I just ordered a GX pump, tons of pellets, and already looking to upgrade my rifle. No one warned me this was hobby was so addictive and the bunny hole is deep enough to not have a bottom.

I grew up shooting a Benjamin Sheridan many years ago and was a menace to any squirrel, rabbit or bird my entire youth. Over the last 40 years, I have shot lots of rimfires, rifles, pistols and muzzleloaders but never really thought too much about pellet rifles. Until recently.

I decided to upgrade my old sheridan to something more modern and ordered the first rifle I saw on YT that had a good review- A Gamo Urban. I knew it would get my feet wet and help me decide if this is something I want to do more seriously but had no idea what kind of addiction it was unlocking. Now I'm looking at high-end shooters that I have no business buying right now. The healthiest thing for my pocket book and marriage would be if yall ban me right now!

Except the rabbit hole is a black hole, and no money can escape the massive gravity of that black hole.

HI guys, I'm Rob and I'm a pcp airgun addict too.
"Oh, what the .... I'll drop this low ball bid on a gun for which I have absolutely no use"

8 days later email arrives
"What do you mean I won?"

+Your first PCP is a great start, easy enough to hand pump, it can shoot pretty accurately,if you buy another PCP without thinking, you would be a da.Use what you have until you settle down...... There are so many choices, plus different calibers...think and plan, study and become informed. In the meantime save your money..................for your informed choices.

Chris,

you're already learning some of the great thruths thay bind us all.

Yes, the airgunning "bunny hole" you call this so endearingly is indeed of surprising depth and width! 😲

Here's a photo to appreciate its dimensions:

FUN. The Airgun Hole -- So Deep, So Wide. #02b. Mirny Mine, Russia, 1,700ft deep pit swirl, 3,...jpg

Congratulations on your excellent progress on your way down there. 👏🏼

Some people start with climbing down the airgunning hole, others slide into it — you however have achieved an early free-fall. 🆒
Just wait till you reach terminal velocity. It's fun!!

Matthias 😃

Thanks for all the assurances and glad to know I'm at least in good company! My wife has had horses for the last 30 years so no matter how bad this addiction becomes, it will never come close to that money pit that is horse ownership. Unless I get that FX M4 and that pretty Huma GK1 and maybe the BRK and, and, .....

You're not in a place to get a cure. 😁

Here you will get not only support and understanding but a lot of encouragement to explore all kinds of airguns and various disciplines... SORRY (Not really) but that can be expensive LOL!

Welcome to the forum!

Cheers!
You're so right 😂 this place is the equivalent of a bunch of "junkies" trading the contact info of their dealers. But it's so fun!
