Cs4 Power supply

My CS3 sometimes won't start, but a knock on the case does the job. I've never been able to duplicate the problem with the case off so haven't been able to localize the issue. It will go for weeks, then might have a couple of no starts on the same day. Maybe something like that? Mine is more amusing than anything.
Loose wire at the power switch, or loose bullet connector.

If you can find a 18V to 12V converter rated at least 30 amps you could make a power supply that would use tool batteries. I use Milwaukee but if you have multiple I think DeWalt and probably Makita would work better. Milwaukees work but their battery protection circuit is set up for Milwaukee tools. All you need is the converter, a dock for your battery, and a terminal block to hook the compressor to. I did it for my CS2 but it is only 250W so a smaller converter works fine. I would only do this if I wanted to use battery power at least sometimes. Always running the compressor on a battery will eventually wear out the battery and they aren't cheap.

That is not the power supply for the CS4-i. That's the one for the CS4.
Hi,
The referenced power supply is not a GX power supply. It is a generic, general purpose 12 volt 600 watt power supply. My friend is using it to temporarily power his CS4-i while he waits for GX to send him a replacement for the interior CS4-i power supply that failed.

I'm familiar with both. My point was that the external PS you posted from Amazon won't work in a CS4-i compressor, as the leads are different, as is the size of the PS.

Now, can you use it externally with wires running into the CS4-i while you wait for the proper PS? Certainly.
