Been using the unit multiple times per day for 6 months and it began to drag its feet and trip out at 250bar on cold days. Whipped off the cylinder head, cleaned out the old grease and regreased it with the super lube that was recommended in another thread. The intake filter looked as good as new. Put it back together and tested it out. Two fold increase in fill rate and no problem filling the Huben K1 to 300bar.
On the plus side, it seems to have a very robust cooling system relative to other pumps I’ve used (and killed) in the past. On the downside, the safety valve (aka, regulator) was not very robust and used to drop its pressure setting on a frequent basis. To address that issue, I modded the stack of bellville washers, as one might do with any PCP reg, to have increased spring tension. It’s been holding a limit of 300bar for several months.
