crown plenum

Hi all rob here from new zealand

is there some mods on the crown plenum if aney or aney to make go good im in new zealand and parts are hard to get shipped here even slugs

The plenum on the FX Crown is built into the machined solid block housing. You could probably bore it out a little not sure how much room is in there. You would be the first I think.

Well I imagine you could build a plenum from where the reg gauge is similar to the impact one. But would look kind of ugly and probably involve opening up the stock and possibly opening the hole in the block up where it goes to the gauge for flow.

You'd probably get results but would most likely make the gun a "keeper"

Hi Rogvi, i am thinking that it may be possible to make a hybrid of your plenum and the one on this thread. I imagine that one could make a thimble plenum like yours and drill and tap the bottom and build a vertical cylinder plenum like this one that screws into it.

I, as I have already written in another thread always related to the plenum for crown, I created a plenum like that of @Rogvi and a cylindrical plenum to be mounted in place of the regulated pressure gauge. Unfortunately, those who are building it for me have many commitments, so I have no further information to give you.

Faltan cosas por rematar porque ahora no me entra la estación de carga devo mecanizar un poquito el plenum se me olvidó decir que el regulador es un huma a 170 bar con una autonomía de 50 disparos a 1000 fps con peso de martillo de 7 gr ruleta max 170 bar

Hola Josezorro, que caliber es y llegas a 1000fps con qual ammo/peso? La realidad es que la mia llega a 1035 fps con .25 cal y 25 grain con 170 bar y no tengo extra plenum. Me han dicho que el plenum situado en hueco del low pressure gauge no serve para nada. Imagino que su mini plenum funciona mejor que el grande. Vale la pena experimentar con la chica y sin el grande para ver.

It will be interesting to see if it works. From what I have read, when a plenum is placed in the low pressure gauge hole it does not work very well. From what I understand it is likely due to a few reasons- one being that perhaps the hole is too small for proper air flow and the other is that there are too many obstructions in the path to provide sufficient flow to make a difference. It will be interesting to see if it works for you. Please let us know!

Buenos días amigo devo de decirte que hay que taladrar el orificio del manómetro hasta la cámara regulada es simplemente pasar una broca de 5mm llegué a obtener 1012fps con mk2 de 34gr y devo decir que tengo un barril de 600 mm con regulador huma a 180 bar a mi me funciona de maravilla ahora lo dejé en 130 bar a 900 fps

El plenum pequeño solo me daba 20fps más que una confirmación sin nada el grande si se noto muchísimo
