Crown MKII pellet to slug swap

How are you guys swapping from slugs to pellets or vise versa in the 600mm barrel? I bought the crown from Utahairguns and it was set at 150 bar regulator. Didn’t like the grouping. Ended up turning the down to 140 and 4 1/4 turns off max hammer. Shooting dime size pellets (25.39gr) at 30 yards. Next mag is FX hybrids 26 grain and has a 3 inch spread

3" is pretty extreme, but could be bad harmonics, I suppose. This is what the steps on the power wheel are for. Makes it easier to find a sweet spot.

You’re right, 3” is Al title over the top but it’s over 2” from furthest point to point on slugs. I fixed the harmonics today with slugs using fx chrono and an excel chart. I was a little surprised when I only backed off max hammer 6 turns. Any more and the exact 25,39 GR spears out. I bought the GRS left handed crown MKII thinking it was the continuum… obviously it wasn’t, so now I’m testing pellets and slugs out of same settings.

Pellets are very forgiving, tune your gun to shoot the slugs you want to shoot then drop the HS to minimum for pellets.

You need to be using the "HEAVY" barrel or slugs will be all over the place. With the heavy barrel the JSB 34 gr pellets and Knockout 34 gr slugs shoot the same to 50 meters.

Make sure your barrel supports in the shroud are properly spaced, they tend to move back and cause accuracy issues.

Stick with the standard Superior liner for the Hybrids.

Drop the speed down to about 900 and give them a try.

I noticed the Hybrids seem to do best at 910 or below and can be a bit picky about speed, anywhere from high 800's to just above 900 seems to be the sweet spot from my testing.
