Got to spend some time with the Crown today. Set up the Crony at 18 inches in front of the muzzle. If you take the gun out of the stock and look at the hammer spring adjuster, it's vary similar to the Impact. Block with a screw going through that contacts the cam adjuster. From the factory with a mic mine measured .774 back shoulder to screw end and was shooting the 33 grain mK ll's at 775 fps. Adjusted it to .793 and fps moved to 820 fps. Adjusted to .850 and fps increased to 835 fps. At this setting it shoots the 25 grain at 856 fps on the D setting on the hammer spring adjuster. With the 33 grain, adjuster was left on Max. Did a shot count on Max with the 33 grain from a 250 bar fill. My reg is set at 130 from the factory and I have not touched it. At 62 shots the reg was still showing 150 bar, so would assume 70 plus shots. Put everything back together to have a look at the accuracy. Wind was 5 to 10 gusting left to right. At this point took off the 8x32? Hawke off and put on a Athlon 6x24x50. Sighted in at 50 yards and it was still making one ragged hole. Reset 0 at 75 yards and it was shooting about 1 inch groups. My 100 yard target measures 106 yards. That's the edge of the hay field. At the 106 yards it was keeping everything within 2 inches. Most of the shots that were wide were left to right. I didn't try and change POI for the wind. I noticed the 2nd adjustment on the adjuster didn't net near the increase as the first adjustment. I'm assuming that to increase from here a reg increase of 5 to 7 bar is in order. Another thing i noticed at max setting is that it's not so quiet. Has a bit of a crack, but not bad. Will wait for a morning with no wind and then I can see what I've got. Next is lightning up the trigger. I keep hoping Tom is going to take that. I'm really liking the Crown. Sylvan
