CROWN CHRONY TEST

This is a sample of the strings I'm getting after Mr. Rowe tuned my Crown. These are King heavies power level 3. TP @25/30, 150 bar.:

My .25 Crown's regulator is set to 140bar, the power wheel on 5 and the hammer spring is just about maxed out. It shoots both the 25.4gr. and the 33.95gr. absolutely lights out all the way out past 100yds. At 50yds. my groups are usually one large hole or just about. Here's my problem... My gun shoots the 25.4gr at about 935-940fps but when I shoot the 33.95 gr. pellets, my velocities are only around 830fps. acceptable but not where I want it to be for long range shooting. I've been thinking about changing my reg. pressure to 150-155bar to see if I can get the 33.95 gr. pellets pushing around 880-900fps. It shoots so accurately now that I just usually shoot the 25.4 grainers at 940fps and don't mess with the 33.95 pellets much. However, I'd much rather be shooting the 33.95 pellets all the time for their long distance BC's and long range energy.

So here's my question for you, what velocities were you getting with the 33.95''s before you had your gun tuned and what was the regulator set at? Is the accuracy similar with both pellets in your gun and what exactly did he do to your gun to "tune" it. Thanks much, Stoti

I only maxed my reg out once with the HST also maxed to see what velocities I would get. The 34 grains topped out at and around 910 fps and the .25 just under 1000.The 25gr are fine at 50-60 yards even with some wind, but at distances greater, unless it's dead calm there is to much drift for me. I actually found a better setting that isn't posted. the FPS velocity is close to the same as above (879) but on power level 2 TP at .22 / .177 SD is 3.67 spread is 9 and the gun is accurate. Because of the hammer weight power level 4 is max. Oh and before the tune I was in the mid 800's on max at 140 bar. I am eventually going to run the numbers from power levels 1 on up, TP from low , 22 .25 Dunno if this helps but that's what I'm working on.
