So I wanted to do some tuning on my Crown and be able to make some fine adjustments of the HS while shooting groups. Unfortunately FX didn’t make the HS accessible without taking off the stock. I thought about milling out an access area but I just didn’t want to mess up my stock.
So I asked myself, what’s stopping me from becoming a world class custom stock maker? I came up with zero reasons so I got to work.
I grabbed a slab of the finest white pine I had in the shop and here she is!

LOL Looks like you used mostly hand tools to hack that out it could not have been easy. You did very well not splitting and cracking things. I would say with a bit of sanding, filing, fitting and finish werq you could still have a fairly decent stock there.
