Crown 25 Compact

Those of you following my slug quest in 22 caliber know that I swapped the 600mm barrel sleeve from the 25 caliber barrel kit over to my 22. 

I put a ST-X 25 caliber 500mm pellet liner in the original 22 sleeve and did a quick tune. 145bar with 25 Kings and 20 shots later got this shot string.

So I have a Compact 25 Crown to play around with if I want to! I'd like to try some Predator GTO's in it, drop the reg pressure for high shot count while still slinging those out there at 950+ fps I'm thinking. If they're accurate at 50yds, I'll have some fun with the starlings and sparrows.

The factory reg in my Crown continues to impress!!

Shweet! I guess that I'm outta the loop but I have to ask. How do you derive at the "power factor"? Sorry if I sound stupid but I've never heard about that yet. Thanks,Bill.

That will knock the crap out some pigeons!!!

Those GTOs are very accurate at that speed and and even a little faster at 50yds. 

As lite as they are they loose their punch shortly after that. 

Now for a .30 barrel and your .22 slug liner and your set Mr Bob!!!!

Power factor is found by multiplying bullet weight and velocity, then drop the thousand.

Not sure if it applies in Airguns but it plays a role in pistol competitions let's say, where you have to achieve a certain power factor.

Very cool Bob! Your having fun with that Crown. I think FX is going to sell a Crown Compact with the 500mm barrel in 25. If I remember correctly. If it will shoot Kings at near 900, why not.
