I put out a feeler looking for a Theoben eliminator in any caliber and with a bit of luck. Within hours I got a reply for said rifle in .20 cal. I’ve never owned a Theoben or Beeman variant or any rifle in .20 . This is exciting. The seller sent me some pics , there are some minor marks from use but it sure looks to be in great condition. We had a conversation over the phone and seller was a true gentlemen . It’s now official I’m done buying airguns for the rest of the year.😉At least that’s what I told my better half. Reality is I have more than enough springers and now a gas ram. HW30 6 fpe , R9 14 fpe 54 air king pro ( still on the bench ) shooting for 18 to 20 fpe and now a Crow magnum unknown power The others are all .177

congratulations that's a great find. It might get a little bit of a workout cocking it but it's a beautiful rifle. If you wanna learn more about him, I'd contact Dave Slade at AirgunWerks He knows all about those and can do service on them if you ever need it.

While waiting for the rifle to show up. I’ve been searching for a suitable optic. I’ve switched over to FFP a few years ago and have a couple fixed power scopes. The problem is they are all 30mm or bigger tube size. I’d like to get my hands on an EFR Nikon or Leupold in 3 x 9 . Being up in Canada we are pretty limited to what is available. I can get the Leupold VX freedom but no one has the mil dot version in stock. Anyone know how big of an objective lens I can fit on this rifle? I was thinking 40 would probably be as big as I can go.

I received the rifle yesterday and I’m more than pleased with this rifle. I’ve had my fair share of springers and gas rams. The trigger is not as good as a record but I’m sure I can get it closer to my liking, currently has a pretty long first stage and quite a bit of creep in the second . The pull weight seems ok.
I’ve been trying to find some info on this rifle other than some of the history the seller gave me.
It is stamped as a Beeman arms inc. Santa Rosa California and serial number TB6959 It must be pre 1994 which should make it either an MKI or MKII from the very little info I could find.

The stock is in really good condition and just needed a good cleaning and a few coats of Tru oil. One minor issue with the sling stud being off center. I’m going to remedy this by filling the hole with some wood glue , countersinking the offset divot and making a steel spacer to get it centered up. I’d also like to find out about what trigger this is. I’ve seen pics of the evolution and this doesn’t look like one of those. If anyone knows when this rifle was made using the serial number and what trigger have. It would be greatly appreciated.

Houston we have a problem. I tore into the rifle to give it a good once over and make sure it was in good working order. What I found is not the end of the world but it will be a while before I can mount the scope and start shooting.
The cocking arm button / cocking shoe is heavily worn and comes out of the tube. After a bit of research I see there are a few for sale online. None of which ship to Canada . I sent Davis Slade an email and I’m waiting to hear back from him. Chambers has them listed but not for the eliminator. Next is the piston seal. I took the trigger completely apart to clean the parts and apply some JM super lube. While I had it apart I took the piston/ram out and found the seal to be missing a good chunk from the sealing surface. Luckily customer air seals had them in stock although they are the most expensive piston seals I’ve ever seen.
I do have a lathe so I can make the button if I absolutely have to but I don’t want to make it out of the wrong material and all I’ve got on hand is too small in OD to work. You can see in one of the pics of how brittle the piston seal was. There’s no way it would have lasted the way it was. I should also make note of the absurd amount of dried lube ( I suspect anti seize compound and not the good kind) everywhere. Trigger components, inside the tube, on the face of the piston seal, the cocking slot in the piston, barrel pivot, chisel lock and spring, I mean everywhere. What a mess. This is another case of thin wins and thick sticks gone bad. lol

The cocking shoe was most likely damaged by someone trying to cock the gun out of the stock.
The seal tells me it is an early MK, and the lube was probably Moly. That is the only lube that you should use on seals of those guns.
Later MK's used easily replaced O rings and didn't suffer from the seal burn of the earlier MK's.
If you can get that seal, please let us know where, the last I heard of were made in Australia and one guy bought them all.
