Can someone tell me about this springer? I bought this bb gun from a guy for $20. I bought it because I never seen a spring gun cock the way it does. You have to push in the barrel to compress the spring and load a single bb. I only seen a few videos online and from google, this gun was made in the early '60s

Its actually really fun to shoot and not very powerful. I don't think the bb will break skin but not going to try it. I shot at a carb board box and the bb didn't shot through.

Good find! Likely needs a seal/oring if shooting so slowly, was a good bit hotter than a red ryder when new, 400fps range in good shape. The had an M! look alike based on the same action.

Thank you for the link. Maybe this weekend I will try to disassemble the gun. The gun in the link looked in bad shape compared to the one I got. I don't see any rust on the gun anywhere.

Yours looks great, you may get away with just an oring for a good long while as oring material's have come a long way in 50 years.

They really were the hot stuff on the block back when.

Baker's has seal kits. The piston seal is a thin nylon washer, hard to get the new one on. Prolly need to dip it in boiling water to loosen it first.
