Crossman Fury as accurate as any

I own a lot of mainly break barrel airguns and mainly nitro piston operated. I don't care much for Springer's. Sighted in 3/4" of an inch low at 12 yards. The following picture is my (25 shot) group at 37 yards which I like it about 3/4" of an inch low.

Most of my shots come in the 35-40 yard range. Just because it's a cheap gun, doesnt mean it can't handle itself.

It IS impressive, and you should be proud of it. Shooting from a rest is not a bad thing, it should tell you what the gun is capable of,, without human error.... and when you miss your target shooting off-hand, you know you need to do something different - most likely the hold.

Excellent shooting. That gun is a keeper. I'd be happy getting groups like that at 25 yards, never mind the 37 yards you were shooting at. What pellets did you settle on for your Fury?

Thank you for asking. Believe it or not this Fury groups excellently with the Crossman Ultra Mag, 10.5 gr. That's the group that was shot at 37 yards, with the Fury. It is a heavier grain domed pellet so for a .177 cal it's not as fast, but the weight of the pellet adds stability and accuracy. It loves them.

One thing I wanted to make note of even with my Benjamin Trails .25 and Gamo .22 it's a great practice to break in those Nitro Pistons before ever mounting your scope on the gun. Take a can of cheap pellets and run 150-200 through your gun to break it in. You will find by doing this your group will be much tighter once you add your scope, for sighting in. I use to buy a gun, throw the scope on then and my groups were good one day and then off the next.
