Tuning Crossman 2300s upgrade recommendations.

Any good recommendations for upgrading the 2300s. I am looking at the alliance hobbies two stage trigger for starters.

If you’re happy with the power that it makes and the accuracy which both should be good. The trigger upgrade should be enough.Besides maybe putting a decent scope on it.There’s all kinds of aftermarket parts for those but depends on what you want to use it for.

First ask Alliance if theirs is better than the P-Rod trigger frame and hammer upgrade (or OEM JB WELD mod to the stock hammer) b4 buying.

I have one (P-Rod trigger grip) that I managed to get reliably down to around 4 ounces (or 3 ounces without the safely).

You’re smart. Scratch that modding itch with a nicer trigger or better optics/sights. I went on a 2240 spending spree years ago. I now have a box full of big valves, heavy springs and all kinds of other trinkets that just made the gun a CO2 hog with little in return. Nice trigger, get rid of the hammer bounce, then just shoot it.

I have been looking and thinking and cannot find anything on the SS safety, and power knob and fill knob, can you steer me toward sources/links?

Quoting myself. I got the Supersear, stoned machining marks off where it contacts and holds hammer back and also where it contacts the trigger. I installed with a roller trigger, My initial impression was that it was an improvement but not what I had expected. I then got an adjustable spring sear and some shims. I placed a shim on either side of the Supersear so it now rides straight and centered in the grip frame. With the spring adjuster all the way down the pull was 7 oz, too light for reliability, and it just did not feel right cocking so I increased it to 12 oz, and now get a positive click when cocking and it just feels right.

I use my 2300S for 10 meter competition. I got the Alliance trigger, target grips and a BSA 2x handgun scope. Leave all the power ods alone to keep the CO2 use low and consistent and it's very competitive at a really low investment.
