Crossman 1077 thoughts?

Im thinking of buying a crossman 1077. i plan on mostly using for target shooting and hope to use for starling control. I know its too weak for squirrels to be taken humanely. Is it powerful enough for starlings and is it accurate? what groupings do you get if you own one. i plan on putting a scope on.

When it comes to ammo i plan on using crossman due to price. i plan on trying piranha ammo, hollowpoints, destroyer, pointed, and maybe even an alloy. If i shot starlings what would work best for this rifle

The 1077 is a fun gun for plinking. For Starlings, it would be ok. Not a real powerful airgun, but with extra magazines, you will have a lot of fun. It's a booger to work on if it gets a leak on the valve.

I just got one for my 9-year old daughter. It's solid, but light, which is perfect for her. For $65, it's a good buy to target shoot/plink and an excellent gun for her to learn on.
