Crosman Piranhas not good

My Hatsan at 44 loves CPHPs so i was at Wally world grabbing a tin when I thought Id give the Piranhas a try. I opened it up and was appalled by the amount of slag and flecks in the tin. Now obviously i shoot crosmans so im used to dirty pellets but I have never seen anything as filthy as these (including Gamos). Even after washing and rinsing 2 times these are still filthy. Dont know how they shoot yet cause they are still too dirty to try out. So far not very impressed with these

I am not sure how much more effective those will be vs. a CPHP, or even the CP domed pellets. They look mean (like most of my fishing lures) - but not sure of increased performance over increased cost.

Curiosity got the best of me,as well. I grabbed a tin in .22 because "Ya just never know!" Well,they shoot like crap in my guns...so Now I Do know. Your welcome to mine. Seemed kinda gimmicky...maybe inside of 15 yds they might hit something. LOL!

They give me the tightest groups in my NP2 trail. JSBs don't even come close.

I've had bad luck with them too. Saw some on sale somewhere, and bought 10 tins of 400 22 cal. Will not hold a pattern in my Wildcat. Must be the shape of the head or something ???

These came with my first PCP, a Benjamin Maximus 22. They would not hold a decent group at 20 yards. The Premier Domed Ultra Magnums did well though out to 35 yards.

It's been all FX Airguns and JSB pellets since them.

Premier HP's = OK but horribly inconsistent in head and skirt size from the same tin ........ Piranha's = BAD in every category in my experience.

Just shot 10 thru each gun. The wildfire actually shotthem the best, 2.5 inch groupat 25 yds. Open site. The phantom thru them all over the place. Some didnt even punch paper so 5in plus group at 25 yds with a 4x32scope. The Hatsan had a 4 inch group at 25 yds with a 2.5-10x40 scope at 10x. Yea these are going to the plinking box. On a positive note I hit 3 groups (5 shots each) at 1/2 in. At 25 yds with the hatsan shooting CPHP.
