Crosman Crosman 2240 PCP

It can fit if you machine threads for the tube. Although I wouldn’t trust a 2240 tube that’s rated for co2 pressure. Might be making a pipe bomb. I’ve heard the non stamped 2240 tubes are ok but why take the chance? If you want a 2240 pcp tube I’ll sell you one that was built to hold 3000 psi. It was made by Don Cothran. Stainless steel with a fill assembly and fill cap. I will PM you.

first of the 2240 tube isn't rated for any pressure because the tube takes none
the CO2 cart seals on the valve face
back in the day when there were few if any PCP pistol the 2240 was use as a base you pinned the valve got all the gear and made a low pressure PCP
be we are not in those times there are cheap PCP pistols out there for sale, in Mexico i have no idea

Anchoring the valve is a good idea in general.

I remember when the forum experts said hipacs would blow up guns, and it didn't but it wasn't a great shooting experience in the format I bought.

There's another way and it helps a ton. Paintball tanks that are already regulated to 850 psi out (co2 vapor pressure). Air being comprised of many gasses is thinner than co2 itself and you'll notice a gain from that change alone. Add that to a longer barrel, a tube end cap with 1/8 npt on it and an "Asa" for a paintball gun acquired as used gear and it makes basically a short Frankenstein benjamin discovery. If you add a boss bulk fill c02 valve with the end cap it makes a 26 or 17 fpe 22.

All the parts can be had cheap for paintball stuff except the crosman specific things. It depends on what you want to spend for a project.

The way the picture is done is totally different and a different model but back in the day the forum experts said it couldn't be done either and it would blow up. It lasted 10 years till I got bored and changed the setup again. With a 12g co2 to Asa adapter I could shoot co2 and when it was out do a large amount of pumping to fill the empty powerlet/line/valve for a few more air powered shots. The pump and check valve still worked normally.

Take away from the pic the way I used old paintball tanks and parts, you just run the hose to the new cap on the end of the tube for the 2240. 2nd Pic with wood grips is an example of that method.
