If I tether a regulated bottle what would be the best output pressure for a Crosman 1720.

All guns even the same exact model same exact caliber are not at all exactly the same. Depends on preferred ammo weight and sweet spot for YOUR particular (literally AND PUN intended!) gun. Run a regulated tether starting from 1600 and work your way up till your groups are tightest then start to falter then back it down again. That's what I would do.

Believe it or not I tethered guns that were perfect as low as 1100psi and am into ultimate accuracy and not power at all. Just want tiniest groups on paper. That is always my personal intent. You can even pop a bird consistently and humanely DOA at 50 yards with that 1720T or a 1701P shooting at only 6-7fpe from the muzzle without any wind.

I use 1800 psi, along with a wide open transfer port, lighter valve spring, with a 13 ci 3000 psi bottle with a dropblock from JDS Airman. This gets me to 12 ft.lb with my 15 grain slugs, as well as my 20 grain slugs.. I can easily put a ragged 1/2" hole at 35 yes.

Is it 0.08 TP P-Rod size or larger modified drilled out to 0.11? OR Like a 0.14 Disco-Maximus? Good to know if OEM factory TPs can be used unaltered.
