Does anyone know the factory hammer spring setting for a 1701p? Mine has about a 120 psi spread ( 580-700 ) so I will assume the port has been drilled. I’m just trying now to get consistent at what ever pressure.

My 1701p stock from the factory is setup to for 450 fps. I get about 50 shots per fill. They are very consistent. I suggest turning down the hammer spring for a more consistent shot string. Very fun basement shooter.

I don’t understand I’m getting about 70 shots but they start around 580 ( where I have the hammer set now ) and just keeps rising until I run out of air?

If you are seeing 700fps someone has absolutely been inside and there would be no way the transfer port is stock factory. Crosman has excellent parts service & price.

Call crosman and order the 2 Factory Transfer ports(high and low power) from them directly and done. Once the TP is too big you have exactly what your are experiencing. Only thing that “regulate” or restrict speed in unregulated guns is the transfer port.
