Buddy of mine has his dad’s Crosman 140 and wants to rebuild and restore it. Have seen several rebuild kits and wondering if anyone here has recommendations on one they’ve used. Going to do all the seals and pump cap also so a kit with everything would be nice. Thanks.

The Crosman rebuild kit for my "157" comes either with black (rubber) "O" rings or, the more expensive, white (silicone) ones. I've no idea how the Crosman 140 kit comes, just recommend going with silicone, over rubber, if you've a choice. I've used both, the silicone rings seal better and last much longer. Best of Luck, WM

I've bought 2 kits off the E bay. One with the original style black pump cup seal and another that had a white pump cup seal. Both worked fine but the transfer port seal broke on one kit, I believe it was the kit that had the white cup seal. I just used some water sprinkler tubing I had in the garage.
Mac 1 airguns also offers the O ring pump head seal and body(and complete seal kit IIRC) for an upgrade. I've not installed one, so I can't tell you how well it works.

I think you are referring to polyurethane rather than silicone. Silicone has terrible abrasion and tear resistance. Polyurethane excels in both respects.

If you do an internet search for a reseal video, Tomcat airguns has disassembly and reassembly videos. They are pretty helpful. It's my favorite multipump gun.

Thanks, have already watched the videos, looks pretty straightforward. We’re both well above average mechanically and have done a PB or 50. We’ll get it done, just want to be sure we get quality parts so the rebuild lasts. Beautiful gun there Peashooter. I think he‘s going to refinish the stock and reblue his.

Sounds like yous got a handle on it. Thanks for compliment. I did an amateurish refinish on the stock(first time for me) using some Tru oil and added a recoil pad(for the kick! 
). It sits in the shoulder much better, doesn't slide down. Some of the 140's and 1400's had some nicely grained wood. They just need a little refinishing to bring it out.

I get the reseal kits from "Precision pellet" Rick is a great guy to deal with. Has the kits for all Sheridan pumpers too.
