Crimson Trace Scope Sale at Midway

Bought and flipped a couple of their 3 Series scopes.

Awesome bright clear glass,

but oh my, they're big and heavy.

@terryb00 What did you find most attractive about the 3 Series you purchased? Were any of them keepers?

I have them on several guns including springers. 

Best value in a Japanese-made scope out there. Big and heavy? yes, but very clear, good turrets, robust build, and focus down to 10 yards. I'm loving them. I would love to know what is different between the 5 series and the 2 or 3 series. Not a lot of difference between the 2 and 3 series. Seems mostly better turrets and slightly more magnification spread which doesn't mean much to me since I rarely use anything less than 10x anyway.

The one I bought from Terry is a BEAST! Yes, big and heavy. But nice clear optics, great turrets. I've been waiting on an LCS for like, 4 months now, someday that scope will be on that.

Great glass for the money and Japan quality. Reticle takes some getting use to and it is a little busy for closer hunting applications, more suited for long range target work or hunting with HUGE amount of internal travel for well pass 100 yards. I have both 3 and 5 series and they are keepers at that price. You missed the series 2 at 299 which is a massive bargain.

They are exceptionally good glass at the price point for bench work. Not something you want to carry in the hunting field all day. I love the one I have, very clear, very sharp and turrets as good as my SWFA scopes.

I have one 2 series and two of the 3 series and they are very good considering the sale price. I can’t comment on the 5 series which is apparently the only thing that Midway has left. I would definitely try one if I needed another scope especially with Midway’s generous return policy if your not satisfied with it.

Are all Crimson Trace scopes made in Japan?

5 and 3 series are made in Japan.

I'm not sure about the 2 series.

I can confirm the 2 series are also made in Japan. Stamped on the bottom.

Doh, you made me look. It’s for the 3-18 not the 3-24 which is still 699. 
A great deal either way.

Biggest problem with these scopes is if it does break and they cant fix it then you get a non Japan scope in return.
