Crimson trace 5 zero stop

The zero stop is in the cap and it allows 2 revolutions even though the turret has over 3 revolutions of adjustment.

to set it all you have to do loosen the 3 Allen bolts and turn it down until it hits zero and stops then tighten, that’s it. You get 19.5 mils of up travel after the zero. No one zeros at the very edge of the scope and dial all the way to the other edge. If you zero at absolute optical center then you will run out of elevation travel before the cap travel limitation. To get full 19.5 mils of travel you have to zero at about 2/3 of the way down the total internal adjustment range which might not be easy thing to do even with 20 MOA rails.

Not my favorite design but It certainly isn’t the worst design either. 19.5 mils is a lot so I’m not too worried about it, my element helix has 18.9 mils(65 MOA) total internal adjust edge to edge for comparison purposes. With 20moa mount I can barely get a little over 14 mils out of my helix. Without the 20moa mount or zeroed optically centered I would get about 6-7 mils of up travel!

edit: 120 MOA or 35 mils over internal adjustment is in the ELR scope territory and they usually are eye wateringly expensive.

☝️ qball nailed it.

I found there to be around 38 Mil (4) total elevation adjustment on my CT-5

34 Mil is the standard adjustment from the factory as stated.

There is a "bump" between "0" and "9" in order to move between the 3 rotations.
