I personally dislike anything plastic—and I don’t care if it’s ballistic polymer or whatever super-duper kind of plastic it is—on an airgun with a premium price. The plastic triggers on the AGT and Kalibrgun rifles are a big letdown to me. They bring to mind an invitee to a formal event being sharply dressed from head to ankle only to fall short on footwear. I own a first-generation Cricket, with a metal trigger blade, and I can’t understand why the folks at Kalibrgun went from that to a plastic one, and then made it even more expensive.

On the upside, and leaving the criticism stated above aside, the Cricket not being prone to POI shifts is because the way the barrel mounts to the rail on which the scope would also be mounted. Such system allows integrity between the scope and barrel, just like with the Taipan and AGT bullpups. And although I’ve never owned an FX rifle, if barrel tensioning parts/systems have to be used for barrel rigidity, then I think the engineering and design might have been a failure from the start. Just my opinion.
