Had AOA do some repair work on Cricket. They say shooting 44.75 JSB at over 900 fps. Best I can get is 600 fps. What can be causing this major lower loss. AOA set reg at 150 bar.
I bought the Cricket II Tactical 60 off of the forum. The barrel is loose, it rotate when screwing on the shroud. I can easy rotate the barrel/shroud just by 2 fingers. After some homeworks, now I know how to do it. The front/rear clamps are only parts to hold the barrel. Screws (A1/A2/A3) are...
If regulator center adjuster is loose it can move and go up or down in regulated preassure. Both going up or down will afect fps decreasing power and fps.
It is very difficult to make a regulator being at the right preassure without the adecuate tool. You need a bernier to meassure total lenght of the regulator and meassure at what fps the rifle shoots with each total lenght of the regulator, until you get to the adecuate meassure and then thighten defently the screw.
My Vulcan 3 had similar trouble. I got to know that the target preassure of the regulator should be 150 bar. Latter on I got to know that the original regulator should had a total lenght of 64 milimeters to be really close to 150 bar.
My success was getting the rifle to shot the 50.1 grain JSB at 911 fps.
I ordered a Huma that include de marks of preassure and with the Huma at 150 bar the fps incresed to 920 fps with the JSB 50.1 grain.
Before the Huma there was a long way of tests taking out the air and moving the original regulator and fill again. Many times until I got to the correct point.
