Hey fellas, anyone shooting CPHP 22cal 14.3gr around 750-800fps and getting fair expansion on soft feather and fur animals without pass throughs with 35-40yds shots?

well depends on what you are shooting. With my hw95 shooting around 730fps I shoot right through pigeons.
Small game with soft fur I get 50% pass through. The channel is large enough for the game size

They don't seem to be the expansion type and only use them in guns that like them.
Breast bone or head shots for feather and head (Brain) shots for fur works.

Thanks fellas, I managed to score 10 tins from a local gun shop selling off NOS.
Gonna be using them on pigeon/Eurasian doves/quail/grey squirrels IF they fly true enough.
I was hoping they would somewhat mushroom a little more than factory diameter for energy transfer.
Pass throughs, though inevitable just not what I hope for.

I use them in my magnum springer. Don’t seem to expand very well. They are harder than jsb lead though. Still deadly on fur!

do H&N pellets/slugs...they are hands down my favorite for HP and everything else. The JSBs have a cult following and for good reason, but the H&N have more hunting variety. What gun are you shooting?

hell yeah!!! I also got 100 dollar worth to “save” on shipping! Now I have over 10000 rounds in .177 and .22........I need more invasive birds in my yard!!!
To OP they won expand at all because they are harder but I rarely see JSB expand either. They hollowpoint does seem to do more damage and tumble more but regardless they will kill critters if shots are placed well enough.
