Tuning CP2 Trigger modification

Unsure if others have done this, I can't be the first. But I was setting up a CP2 for a friend and when I was cleaning up the trigger internals I noticed that the head of an adjustment screw was being used as the bearing surface.

To remedy this I drilled a hole in the bottom.of the safety button ring (safety removed of course to allow for access to the screw head from the bottom with a removed safety.

This gave a significantly smoother and consistent trigger pull.

Nice mod. I'll have to do this to my two.

Thank you! Very simple mod, I believe the trigger is cast and the drill bit may be prone to walking. I used a small circular diamond ball rotary bit to get it started. The hole I drilled was a little large. 1/8" should be more than enough clearance.

Pop the safety out, there will be a ball bearing and spring behind it.

Once you get the settings you want and loctited in place then put the spring in, then the ball, get the safety put back in and depress the ball down a little with an Allen key from the other side and push the safety back in the trigger.
