I put a heat shrinking rubber on all my Fx carbon fiber bottles my 300cc was the first one I did it's amazing looks good as well very tuff and easy to take off and on.

Well, I ordered the 50mm size and received it the other day. It's way too small for the 480cc FX tank! I even tried it on the 300cc Best Fittings tank I have for my Dream-Tac Compact and can't get it on it either! The Best Fittings tank has a glossy finish, and even using soapy water, I can't get it on! I thought about putting it out in the sun to soften it a bit and maybe let it stretch some, but if it's truly shrink wrap, then I fear putting it in the sun to warm will have the opposite effect! So, at this point, it seems it was a waste of money. Any suggestions on how to get it on a CF Bottle?

It's the size I used and Ernest Rowe of FX I put the 50mm on my 580cc and 480cc it's also on my 300cc but as I said you have to put silicone grease to get it to slip On light oil or soapy water will not work wrap a towel around the sleeve and keep working it on Just so your hands don't slip it's takes elbow grease for sure. Make sure you have 50mm and not 45mm.

Well, you gave me a renewed hope it was in-fact possible, so I gave it another go! I did order the 50mm size, what I got, who knows! I did finally get it on the smaller diameter 300cc Best Fittings tank. I set it outside in the direct sun for 15 minutes, then sprayed both the inside of the tubing and the CF Tank with soapy water. You aren't lying about the elbow grease! It was a bear to get on there, and I have no fears of it ever sliding off! I just have no idea how i'd ever get it over the 480cc or 580cc FX bottles! I am happy with how it looks on my Dream-Tac Compact!
