Couple of Custom Sheridans

Hello everyone,
I thought I would share a picture of two Sheridan model C's that I customized for a friend.
They both have modified stocks, and were refinished with Maccari RLO stock oil. Added checkering and pellet storage grip caps. The brass one has a brass butt plate with flip up storage that houses barrel cleaning rods. The black and silver one has an adjustable butt pad. Both have Rowan engineering trigger guards, and sling swivel studs.
Both were resealed

and have custom sights installed. Great little shooters, and we're fun projects.

Yes wadcutter, the rear sight has a Gehmann adjustable Iris, with 1.5X magnifier installed.

John, I will try to post a close up of the front globe. It is a standard HW globe with a slot milled out on the bottom to fit over the factory blade sight. I through drilled and tapped the factory holes in the globe sight too accept a 10/32 oval head screw on each side. Then drilled and tapped again, slightly to the rear of the first holes, to accept a 6/32 grub screw on each side. That made for a very secure attachment.

I went to all that trouble because the owner did not want me to cut off the factory front blade, which would be my preference.

In your case, I would cut off the blade and either cut dovetail grooves in the factory blades base, to accept the globe, or drill and tap mount, a low profile dovetail base, over the existing base.
