On, Canada
Did my weekly run into the city, naturally I have a reason to go to AGS, to pickup my Air Max. Got my scope and this, a used Diana 460 .177 with a lower end springer rated scope. Has a beech stock nice shape, but the grain isn’t going to win any awards.B087ECC8-C801-49CA-94CA-5779279AC60D.jpeg I took a shot but the scope was so dirty, so tomorrow. Tomorrow is supposed to be the big storm of the winter. Merry Christmas. Crow

Nice, Crowski. Always wondered how that big beast would shoot. Interested to hear. We’re going to be near 70 degrees tomorrow. Then drop overnight to about 17 and be below freezing until Saturday afternoon. And have four nights in a row below freezing. Before warming back to the 70’s next week. Welcome to Texas LOL. Our infrastructure isn’t built for that kind of cold so it sometimes gets interesting. We’ll see.

Edit: Is it a T05 or T06 trigger?

I feel your pain, tomorrow it is only supposed to get up to 72 here in west central Florida. Brrrr!
What’s wrong with me for staying here. Actually when Covid-19 hit my wife and I were going to Thailand for the winter and then a different country the next winter etc. Now hooked on Air Guns

I give it tomorrow.
I’ve never seen such dramatic temperature changes like I have the last couple years. And the wind bursts are just insane. About a month ago I had three cedar trees just ripped out by the roots by a freak wind burst.
I’m glad there are no AGS where I live :ROFLMAO:
I hope it shoots as good as it looks (y)
I’ll tell it’s handy, too handy, no shipping costs though. Haven’t missed too many weeks in the last 2 years. Merry Christmas Crow

I'm about 200 miles north of you in Jacksonville, Tx. Supposed to hit mid 40's tomorrow, then down to 12 Friday morning. And I had to commit to work about 60 miles west of here, probably colder there. Middle of next week supposed to be back to the 70's, every wonder why we cannot get used to the cold.
Familiar with the area. Friend’s husband was city manager there. My daughter‘s husband is from Athens. He’s on leave and they’re there with his family. Talked to them today sounds like they’re ready hope you are too. Crowski, the temp swings here are nothing new. It’s always crazy. Talked to Kim’s mom today. Sounds like NB is plenty cold too and she said flights being canceled all over. Thats why Kim didn’t fly home when mom got out over the weekend. Crazy.

I’m ready, have a 14 kw generator. My snow removal machines are ready.
Just came in from shooting the 460. 94B63BCA-3810-4779-9163-FE728CA0ED73.jpeg Sounds good, decent trigger, but the scope is euchred. I had an Air Max 4x12x40 on the shelf but happy to jump on the 460. CFDCD797-7EA5-4A08-B9FC-8E14DA002A56.jpeg
I put Hawke scope risers on and noticed the stop pin is tapered at bottom, doesn’t make sense. After lunch another go. Crow

My generator’s ready to go but it ain’t that big! LOL. Full on propane for both house and portable cylinders. If we lose power we’ll just light a fire and snuggle our big old Pyrenees and our Standard Poodle pup. This little girl is actually doing some pre-snuggling right now. Has already come through jkingrph area, they’re in the teens. Hopefully he’s good.

Grabbed my .22 HW95 and went and did about 20 shots off hand. That gun is always a pleasure. Made me feel better. Now, back to work!

Looking back at this thread, from a month earlier, it makes me wish that we had some place. The only place close with any air arms is Walmar, and honestly I would not have anything on their shelves. Plenty of places selling firearms though, but my interest in them is waning.

I recently grabbed a Diana Model 45 , (born in November 1983) from a LGS. Sometimes it’s right place/right time. Paid 2 bills OTD scoped. It’s pretty clean, probably a bit dry, but is firing a bit shy of 800fps with 7.9 gr pellets. I’ve never opened up a springer, and not sure this model is the one to learn on reading the blog series that PA has archived. I am sure it would benefit from at least a clean and lube to lessen the vibration, and I’d love to see the piston seal to verify leather….always liked the RWS 46/460 family but already have a Marksman 60 (HW77) underlever….

Kind of lucky to have a major air gun shop en route. I also have the 3rd largest in the town where my store is. I drive by his place but won’t let you pick up has to be shipped. This I can’t handle. Cost $40 -$50 to ship up here. Where I saved big time is on lead, again shipping saved and no damage. Crow

Watch a couple tubes. I took 3 guns apart this morning and after noon. I took apart the 460 today, which never done before. I really enjoy working on them. Definitely makes a difference. Crow

I totally hear you on the videos and satisfaction of finding my way and doing it myself. Not saying I could get anywhere near a Motörhead or John in PA full tune or diagnostic and repair, (reading Motorheads post are so educational), but tinkering with seeing how they are put together and doing minor work like a lube or spring swap on a springer just takes the hobby to a new level. Just this past year I resealed my childhood Crosman 766 American Classic, a leaky P17, and also resealed a QB78 that I gave my late Dad years ago…all successful and super satisfying. This site is great.
