FX Could the newer M3 hammer spring assembly fit in the MK2?

Could I install the updated adjustable hammer spring in an MK2? It should work right? Only thing I won’t have is the front assembly part I have circled…and that’s only there to combat the loose hammer spring from the MK2 (if you recall you could move it back and forth).

I don't think the adjuster will fit I know the hammer spring itself does fit I guess I never tried without the front piece of it

I think there is enough space for it…but I’m not sure exactly. Can someone measure it with calipers?

Edit: it wouldn’t work because the adjuster has a ball bearing that has a spring drilled into the block. I don’t want to mess with the block and drill it. You could theoretically do it, but you’d need good machinery. You’d just need to machine in where that ball sits, and also cut down the length of the adjustment rod.

I was told by FX USA it would not fit. An M3 block would need to be fitted.

You want it for cosmetics ? or for function of what exactly you think that is missing from MK2 but the M3 has it ?
Only for tuning purposes if you play with that spring adjustment for longer then an hour you must be doing something wrong.
