Convicted Felon Airgunner

Well, the last one I tried was totally forthright told them about my past I felt led on by the paid 40 dollars thy did a background check an denied me . In pa it’s ok to hav airguns an archery as a felon . I always loved target shooting from when I was a young lad starting off with the old crossmen 760 ten pump I was an expert shooter three time badge award in the Marines . The m16 just reminded me of my crossmen anyway getting back to the original subject well I just don’t fit in well with squeaky clean kind of folk but that’s ok.
They most likely denied you to protect you on this one. It isn't legal for you to be anywhere near firearms. It's a pain for me as well as I have many friends that love to 'Yote hunt with firearms. I can't go out and hunt with them due to the laws.

Well they never got as far as convicting me of anything, when i was that prearticular kind of creep for a few years when i was young.
Cant undo those years, but i am never going there again,,,,, though will still bend a law or two occasionally, this is in a manner that cant even compare to those past days.
And if i get nailed for that, i will still be a man about it.
Right now i have a illegal pocketknife in my pocket,,, illegal as in it have a locking blade ( frame lock ) ,,,,, Danes can not have a safe pocket knife it seem.
I am 100% supporting any change for the better, in felons and a lot of other things / ways.

all this, and i mean all of it on the front page of the main representative forum for airguns is stupid ... IM A FELON AND HEY THIS IS HOW YOU CAN GET ARMED AS A CON .. no offense to the person in particular ... this is the kind of bad press that will get your airguns banned ... you know that right ...
Not to mention some youtubers showing the effectiveness against
" padding"...but it goes deeper than this. As you have seen in many cities/States and Countries,Were the law abiding have all had their right to defend themselves stripped away.

The unvoted self proclaimed leaders of the world (wef) who openly admit to infiltrating goverment cabinets and do so through bribery and threats, all but own the real criminal club on the hill.

Now we are seeing the lackies knocking on doors with your personal purchasing records in hand
Literally infringing...
So yes it isn't a good idea to give them a heads up in this crap chess game.
As a matter of fact if I was the op I would just delete the topic.

Semper Fi.
Promote the Positive. Leave the Felon out of the equation, it's not who you are now. When I got divorced as a young man (22), my credit took a hit as I was paying Child Support, etc. etc. I don't tell anyone that 30 years ago, I couldn't finance a Stamp, CRAP well now I've told this group.

I'm with Chukar60 Make the club for anyone that legally can own an air rifle.

Seen a video the other day with a federal agent at someone's door asking to see their firearms and the guy called the local PD. Of course, Mr Alphabet org guy didn't comply since he thinks he's above the law, and ended up getting tazed and detained.
Scary world we're living in, the founding fathers are turning in their graves.

Hey dominick, as a retired Police Officer (25 years) and veteran of USAF, I can tell you that years and years back in Nevada anyway. The laws changed in around 2000 in which it stated that a firearm was defined as any weapon capable of expelling a projectile by means of gun powder, spring, or compressed air. That made a pellet gun a firearm. I would assume most states are like that, especially since air guns have come a long way, and are now capable of shooting huge calibers capable of taking down large game, and people. So being an ex felon, you are a prohibited person for life from owning or being in possession of a firearm. Check with your state, and ask any police officer you come across or go to a local police station, they can clarify further, some states dont classify pellet guns as a firearm.

Pa. It’s ok to own airguns an archery

I just looked over all info regarding new member qualifications etc. in the club I am a member of here in Ohio and there is nothing mentioning felons or even a statement such as “open to any adult legally able to own/possess firearms”. Sorta surprised considering todays world.
Now whether the new member board sends applications out for background checks, that’s unknown to me.
Good luck to you.
Strangely, I know years ago people were given a choice to join a military branch or accept their punishment and resulting felony record. They’re still a person that comitted a crime but are given a pass if they serve. Oh well, such is life.

Just found this thread, so forgive me if the question I am going to ask has already been answered.

To the OP, what was/were the felony(ies) of which you were convicted? In my state, a convicted felon (non-violent felony) can own an airgun. I don't know about access to shooting ranges.

If you were convicted of a non-violent felony(ies), then you CAN petition to have ALL of your rights re-instated.

In Denmark you can not in any way own a crossbow, but if you are 18 you can buy any form of bow, and as i understand it there are some pretty nasty compound bows around.
That is just WTF on a whole other level in my book, but hey so many things here are like that for me.

My father made me a crossbow as a kid, and i was the envy of the other kids.
But of course my father was also a "rebel" in the sense that he was also a prominent member of the Danish communist party, back then wen a few Danes was still stupid enough to vote for that particular flavor of socialism.

I dont think any prior crime which you have served your sentence on are allowed to hinder you in anything here,,,,, that i think is regarded to way too harsh for the modern Dane.
'But okay if we had guns in our society i am sure that would be a no go, but as it is now i dont think getting a hunting licence and after that buying rifles for a fortune would be a problem for a ex felon,,,,, or for that matter a current felon as long as its not weapon crime.
So getting busted for selling a little weed, that should not endanger your hunting licence or your massive rifle collection,,,,, at least i think so.

It is kind of ironic when you think of the blood dripping history of my country,,,, and thats not even going way back to the vikings.
And today you cant even give a person the stink eye within a mile of certain soccer stadiums,,,,, LOL they actually just passed a law dubling sentences for crime done near some stadiums,,,,,, as some soccer fans here are pretty stupid and get pretty drunk for games.

We instigated the so called Stockholm Bloodbath, and it was indeed living up to its name, so no wonder the Swedes got pretty upset about that, and in the end they firmly kicked Danes out of their country, hell a little later they even took Norway from us as i recall.

Denmark and Sweden have been at war for +30 year thru history, not many countries can claim a history like that,,,,, and today we are okay mates even if we do poke at each other now and then, but in a nice wholesome manner.

Just picking, Semper Fi, a marine is a marine doesn’t matter what MOS, but us 0311 grunts have attitudes 😉😍

After dealing with LEO's for alot of years, you would not believe that the majority I dealt with had no idea about actually current firearm laws only what they were told and worse yet what they thought or believed. Look up firearm laws in your city ordinances and state statutes to get real information.
Your right to not own a firearm from a felony conviction was pushed thru by the administration in 1968..called the Federal Firearms act. But that was for blue collar felonies. White collar felonies were except...so if you were a white collar criminal and embezzled 5 million dollars you still kept your rights....but be a normal blue collar guy and steal a 200 bike, and you loose your rights. Still goes on today...
Lots of us made mistakes when we were young and dumb, some were caught and most weren't.
The laws wrote are far from fair....but they were never intended to be fair and just.
If every crime a person commits is a felony...just think of all the people legally disarmed annually...
