I converted my Dreamlite .22 500mm barrel to a 600mm barrel. Using the parts from my 500mm barrel, it only required two parts that I got from FX + a 600mm liner. Total cost $219.10 vs $399.99 for a conversion kit. Thought I would share.

600mm Slug Liner A $109.99 Only 600mm .22 liner I could find available.

I had previously done three mods to my Dreamlite. I had opened up the barrel port, and the probe, and installed a 2mm spacer behind the hammer spring. My basic tune with these mods with the 500mm barrel were front power adjuster on 25-30, hammer spring on 3-4 (I didn’t adjust dial after adding spacer, detents fall between marks) regulator at 140 bar shooting JSB 18grs @ 910 fps. With these settings with the 600mm barrel, I got 975 fps with 18 grs. Not bad.

I haven’t had the time or weather to do much shooting or testing but I did some testing with the .22 FX hybrids. With the settings of 25-30, between 5-max, reg. at 150bar I’m getting 925fps. I shot several 5 round groups with each group better than the last, last was about 1/2 at 50 yds. And that was with gusty winds. I looking forward to trying other slugs. Only getting 19-20 shots on a 230 bar fill though. I want to get a bottle adapter/bottle and the new power plenum when available.

Converting from 500mm to 600mm was simple. The only tricky part is screwing out the two ends on the shroud. FX uses hot melt glue to hold them in the shroud. I used a propane torch to melt the glue. They screw out easily after the glue is melted but require something to grab onto the hot pieces. I used a scrap of leather and pliers. Thick leather gloves would work. I added some hot melt glue and reheated to assembly into the new shroud.
