Converted .177 Talon P, Slug Jams ?

I converted my Talon P from .25 to .177. I put in the .163 stem Lock so I do not get a valve dump when shooting this little powerful pistol. I am shooting slugs 13.4 grains at about 940 to 830 fps. There is a big Problem thou. For some reason these slugs are jaming in the front of the breach after I put the slug inside it. So every once in a while I would seat the slug inside, pull the trigger and the slug would like some how come back out the breach and actually almost force a tank dump until I cocked the hammer back again only to find a pellet/slug halfway in the barrel and the other half bent outside of the seating area ? Not sure what is going on ?
Any help would be great ....

Hello @jaydog

Hope you get the problem solved and shooting. I would like to see the numbers on a shot string after you have it fully working, looks like you are averaging around 23fpe.

I have no idea; but following in case it ever happens to me😳

YEP same thing. I noticed if you just put them in some get loose and bounce around in there. So I took like a little hex wrench myself and was starting to deep seat the slugs. I am trying to do this at a constant depth to see if I can get consistency for a group. Still playing with these ideas...... Will have more to follow. Thanks again,

Try using tape wrapped around the hex at the length you want it to stop🤙

This was the 10 second fix. Aluminum 4-40 SHCS onto a piece of nylon. And its adjustable.
